Have you traveled abroad before? If so, where and why?
I have been to Colombia many times because about half of my family on both sides live there, also for the cultural experience and growth.

Have you studied abroad before? If so, where, when, and for what?
I have never studied abroad before, this is my first time going to Europe.

What are you studying this time and why did you choose this location & program?
I chose to study music in Salzburg, Austria. Salzburg is known as the home of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, one of the most important composers in history, what better place to partake in music and be inspired than there! I look forward to working hard in order to improve as a performer and musician, as well as, give myself the opportunity to grow culturally and broaden my horizons. I also look forward to meeting new people and having an experience I’ll never forget.

What are you most looking forward to during your study abroad program? What are you most nervous about?
I am looking forward immensely to having a change in scenery, meeting new people, eating different foods, and studying while abroad. I am most nervous about traveling alone and the kind of professors I might have.

What are some of your interests and hobbies?
I love music and art, they have been the most prominent hobbies and passions throughout my life. I also really enjoy reading and writing as they allow me to express myself and give me something to look back on years later.

Anything else you would like us to know about you?
I started off my musical career in the genre of classic pop and jazz, I was terrified to start classical training at UF because I did not know what to expect, nor did I know if I would like it or enjoy it as much. However, I grew a lot from my first year in college, I learned what it meant to put in the hard work in order to progress, I learned to have patience with my art and enjoy performances and presentations. I look forward to studying abroad in Salzburg because it is a small city that has a passion for classical music, I hope to find inspiration and acquire a deeper love and respect for the classical music degree I will continue to pursue in the next three years of college.
