1. Concoct the perfect “I cannot even begin to explain how amazing this experience was” face for when people ask you how studying abroad was.
  2. Contact every single person you know and let them know that you are emotionally not okay and probably will not be for a while.
  3. Cry.
  4. Refuse to unpack clothes and continue to live your life with all your belongings in the perfect state for returning to your home abroad.
  5. Sleep.
  6. Eat every American food- saltiness, large portions, and fast food was so dearly missed abroad.
  7. Let your mom know that you are okay.
  8. Create a photo album or print pictures from the summer to have concrete evidence for others and yourself that this all actually happened and wasn’t a dream.
  9. Cry.
  10. Start planning your next trip.
